In Memoriam of Annie (Hunka Munka)
1991 - 2013
When you are on a great horse, you have the best seat you will ever have. - Sir Winston Churchill
On Monday, we said goodbye to our darling Annie. She was so special to so many here at Bayview. She was an excellent instructor for our little ones and beginning riders and could always be counted on for a laugh and sometimes a lesson that kept us doing our best and using our best horsemanship. Annie will be deeply missed.
Please send us your picture or favorite "Annie" story and we will post them as we get them.
Thank you to all of our amazing clients for such an amazing summer! We are so fortunate to have such an amazing group here, and we are only getting luckier with all of the new friends we made at camp this year. We can't wait to see you all through out the year in lessons, shows, and other camps.
Happy Spring Cleaning!!!
April 25, 2013
Goodness. Being a horse rider/owner/lover comes with A LOT of stuff!! Spring cleaning time is not our favorite time to start out with, BUT the end result tends to feel like a good night's rest.
Be that as it may, when we wake up from this rest, we end up with all of this stuff. Mostly good stuff that got trapped under older stuff we were using (saving the good stuff for another time...) and now, it either doesn't fit, match, or may need a small inexpensive repair. Throwing it away seems like a crime, but what should we do? Put signs up and hope one of our neighbors has a need for a riding helmet? So we decided to make our own place....It is called a forum (not our name, but it is free from GoDaddy, so that is its name. Can't argue with free), and it is our way of trying to match the needs of our clients (and beyond) with the needs of others who are either selling or buying it.
Please go and have a look at the forum, see if it is something you can contribute to. We would love to see everyone be able to put all of the money we invest into our tack, equipment, etc turned into something that can benefit another. Talk about stretching that dollar!
Do you have old riding/horse gear that is taking up the room you need for your new stuff? Are you looking for that perfect pair of riding pants to wear during lessons, and do not want to pay full price? Whatever your needs are, we want to help! Please head over to our Forum and see what others want, need, or are selling/giving away and see if that matches up with what you are looking for.
